Refund policy

Sometimes things don’t go to plan. For example, maybe that fitting doesn’t fit quite right, or your new hose hasn’t arrived.

In the unlikely event that something does go wrong, we’re here to help.

The first step is to send an email to marcos@thereaceshop.com.au within 14 days of receiving your order and let me know there’s an issue. The quicker you do this, the sooner we can get you sorted.

If there’s an issue with the product itself, make sure you attach a photo of the product to your email. That way, I can see what the exact problem is. Please do not return the item until we have discussed the issue together.

Let’s look at potential issues in more detail.

My order never arrived.

If your order doesn’t arrive by the estimated delivery date, check with your local post office first.

If the post office can’t help, then send an email to marcos@thereaceshop.com.au.

In the email, include your:

  • Order number
  • Address details

I’ll then go and investigate the issue. If the parcel is lost in transit, you are responsible for investigating using the tracking number provided. The Race Shop does not provide refunds for parcels that are lost in transit.

If it turns out that the address details you supplied when placing the order are incorrect, your order may be returned to The Race Shop. In this case, at your own cost, you can decide if you want us to re-ship the order to the correct address.

The item is damaged or mislabelled.

If you receive a damaged or mislabelled item, or if it was damaged during shipment, within 14 days of receiving your order, send an email to email to marcos@thereaceshop.com.au and include the following:

  • Your order number
  • A description of the damaged or mislabelled item
  • Attach a photo of the item to your email, clearly showing the issue

I will then contact you to discuss. Please do not return the item until we have addressed the issue together.

I’ve ordered the wrong part.

Mistakes happen. We understand that and want to help.

While we don’t explicitly offer exchanges or refunds, if you’ve made a mistake when placing an order, please send an email to marcos@thereaceshop.com.au, explain the situation, and we can look at possible solutions.
